DOT Training

The US DOT defines who in an organization is a "Hazmat Employee" and must receive training at least every three years, or when assigned to a new position. See training and certification requirements (PDF)

Customer Safety Video

The safety of employees and customers is a top priority for CSX. We partner effectively with customers to ensure we take necessary precautions to address seasonal railroad hazards that may affect employees, rail traffic and infrastructure. The video provided below is designed to help keep CSX employees and those who work for our customers safe, as well as to help keep customers’ rail served facilities operational in adverse weather conditions.

Emergency Responder Training and Materials

CSX offers free training materials and emergency planning information to emergency responders. Our video and workbook training programs provide advanced information for anyone who may respond to a rail incident.
