CSX Customer Advisory: Potential Shipment Delays in Norfolk, Va.

Please be advised of potential delays affecting rail traffic in the Norfolk, Virginia area due to an incident involving the Berkley Bridge along Interstate 264. The bridge, which connects the Berkley neighborhood south of the river with downtown Norfolk to the north, was struck by a tugboat earlier today and has been temporarily rendered inoperable.

To minimize service disruptions and maintain fluid rail traffic, CSX is actively rerouting trains while local authorities assess and address the impact on operations. We remain in close contact with authorities to ensure we restore normal service as quickly as possible. However, the timeline for restoration remains uncertain. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience during this period.
