CSX Honored with 2024 Navy Employer Recognition Award

June 26, 2024 — CSX is proud to announce its recognition as an honoree at the 2024 Navy Employer Recognition Event (NERE), hosted by Vice Adm. John B. Mustin, Chief of Navy Reserve and Commander, Navy Reserve Force. This distinguished event took place in San Diego, California, on June 11.

NERE honors outstanding civilian employers who have demonstrated exceptional support for their citizen-Sailor employees, going above and beyond the requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. Among only 47 companies to receive this esteemed recognition in 2024, CSX is celebrated for its unwavering commitment. The event offers honorees a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the capabilities, roles, and missions of the U.S. Navy Reserve, further strengthening their support for Navy Reserve Sailors.

Stephanie Noel, vice president of human resources and chief diversity officer, and Brian Morgan, senior talent advisor, accepted the award on behalf of CSX. Their presence at the ceremony underscores CSX’s commitment to supporting its employees who serve in the Navy Reserve and recognizing the valuable contributions they make both to the company and the nation.

“We are deeply honored to receive the Navy Employer Recognition Award,” said Noel. “CSX is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment for all our employees, including those who serve in the military. This recognition is a testament to our dedication to supporting our citizen-Sailors as they balance their civilian careers and military duties.”

CSX has long been a supporter of the military community, providing a range of benefits and programs to ensure that service members can seamlessly transition between their military and civilian roles. Notably, 16% of CSX's employees are veterans and active-duty military. This award highlights the company's ongoing efforts to respect and honor the sacrifices made by its employees who serve in the Navy Reserve.
