An exciting annual event is taking place at Golisano Children's Hospital, where patients are about to experience the joy of a stunning snow sculpture. On Saturday, February 7, 2026, construction began on this delightful creation, thanks to a collaboration with Hearts for Isabella, a charitable organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children facing health challenges.
The sculpture is thoughtfully designed so that children can admire it from their hospital rooms, offering them a cheerful distraction during a potentially tough stay. "We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to bring this joy to the children here. For those who are able, some get the chance to come down and view it from the windows," shared William Dombrowski, the Chief Financial Officer of Hearts for Isabella. "It's truly about fostering smiles and providing a bit of comfort during what can be a difficult time in the hospital, making it a beautiful initiative."
Hearts for Isabella was founded six years ago in memory of Isabella, who tragically lost her life to Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome, a type of congenital heart disease (CHD). This organization's mission remains focused on supporting families and children dealing with similar struggles by bringing moments of happiness into their lives.
