What the project aims to achieve is straightforward: an National Geographic Explorer, along with other creators and photographers, will traverse India’s forests, mountains, deserts, and coastal ecosystems to document pristine landscapes, wildlife encounters, and natural spectacles. The technology is positioned as a key enabler—ultra-high-resolution imaging, pro-level stabilization, and vivo’s ZEISS optical system are all highlighted as allowing creators to capture nature with unprecedented depth and detail on a smartphone.

Geetaj Channana, Head of Corporate Strategy at vivo India, explained: the goal is to build tech that sparks more exploration and deeper connection with the world. The X300 Series blends imaging know-how with AI and optical innovation to deliver moments with clarity and emotion. The collaboration with National Geographic Creative Works is about showing what smartphone photography can truly achieve, with the X300 Series built to perform in extreme environments—low light, expansive landscapes, and fast-moving wildlife.

A National Geographic spokesperson added that photography sits at the core of their storytelling, and the collaboration aims to celebrate wildlife’s beauty and complexity. By pairing Nat Geo’s legacy of visual exploration with vivo’s drive for powerful imagery, the partnership seeks to inspire audiences with authentic moments from the natural world.
